Extra extra read all about it! Compassion Church is coming to the city of Smyrna.  Beginning Tuesday, June 7, 2011, Compassion Church will hold weekly gatherings at 7:00 pm at Rev Coffee on Spring Road. 

Make plans to come out and learn more about the vision and values of Compassion as well as how you can connect with us and become part of our launch team.

The mission of Compassion Church is simple.  We exist for four reasons: to love God, to connect with others, to grow (personally and collectively), and to serve the world (locally and globally).  Compassion will be known in the Atlanta metro area as the church that is passionate about serving the community, building authentic relationships, and growing spiritually.

Compassion Church is a nondenominational church that is faith-focused, community-centered, and mission-minded.  We are committed to creating an environment and experience where people from all walks of life can connect or reconnect with God.  Through practical, engaging Biblical teaching, worship, and prayer, we will create a contagious environment for learning, growing, and becoming more like Christ.  In addition to providing a solid biblical foundation, we are also committed to intentionally creating opportunities for our members and ministry friends to connect with one another.  Fostering a sense of genuine community is engrained in our ministry’s DNA.   We aim to do this through encouraging all of our members and ministry friends to be actively involved in one of our church’s community groups.

Finally, Compassion Church believes that servanthood is the true hallmark of greatness.  As God has called us to be a great community of faith, we are committed to serving humanity, both locally and globally, by meeting the tangible needs of others.  Showing the compassion of Jesus Christ is our motivation for all that we do.

As we develop our faith through engaging God’s Word, enrich our lives through quality relationships, and connect with people’s hearts by serving them, we believe that God will be glorified and the world will be a better place.
