If you've ever scared yourself to sleep at night with a southern murder mystery novel, the Smyrna Community Center may be the perfect place for you on Saturday.

"Murder Goes South:  A Festival for Readers of Mystery," brings authors and readers from around the southeast together for panel discussions throughout the day.

Registration begins at 8:45 am.

New York Times bestselling author Erica Spindler kicked off the weekend with a keynote speech along with a question and answer session in front of a packed house at the community center on Friday night.

She, along with several other noted authors, will be taking part in Saturday's event.
