Armed Robbery at BP Gas Station
Cobb police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday night at a gas station in Vinings.
The Cobb County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 10:30 p.m. Monday at the BP gas station on Cobb Parkway near Paces Mill Road.
According to investigators, an armed male entered the gas station and pulled out a handgun while threatening an employee. The employee opened the cash register and the perpetrator took an undisclosed amount of cash from it. The man then “calmly” walked back to his Jeep and was last seen driving northbound on Paces Mill Road.
The suspect is described as a 5'10'' black male, approximately 20-30 years of age, and appears to be heavy set and “light skinned”, according to a Wednesday release by Cobb police.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call 770-499-3945.

The description of the accused is racial profiling! This is not allowed under the O administration!

Mentioning a suspect's skin color is NOT racial profiling...it's not like they're randomly pulling people off the street because of their appearance. When police are trying to track down a specific suspect, race is always mentioned as well as in the news...not only minorities get mentioned, but EVERYONE.

Ashley, I assume Lissa's comment was made in jest. If not, I don't know where to begin..
This news is such a surprise, I used to live across the street from that BP, shop at the Kroger, and eat in all the restaurants nearby. That entire community was very nice and peaceful.

That is very disturbing, my restaurant is directly across the street. We will be sure to not leave any staff there alone at night. Thank you for the report.
