Smyrna police have charged Meldoshia Winn, 44, of Lithia Springs with several felonies relating to her alleged involvement in a bank robbery earlier this year in Smyrna.

Winn has been charged with felony counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Police allege Winn entered the Bank of America located at 2475 South Cobb Drive on April 30 and presented a note to the teller demanding money and a firearm, but the teller activated the bank's silent alarm. Police say Winn left the scene without taking any money. 

According to a release from the Smyrna Police Department, Winn left the note at the scene, which was turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab. Fingerprints were found on the note and then attached to the suspect.

Winn was arrested by U.S. Marshal’s Tuesday and is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
