Concord Road Covered Bridge Closed Because of Accident

Drivers should avoid the area until the accident is cleared.

Concord Road is closed at the covered bridge on the border of Smyrna and Mableton while Cobb police work to clear an accident.

The department’s Public Information Officer Dana Pierce said the accident wasn’t serious, but that drivers could expect delays.

“It doesn’t sound like the worst like it usually is where they knock most of the covered bridge down, but it probably is reduced them going through there,” he said. “I don’t think it’s anything serious, I think just think it’s a typical property damage crash.”

Drivers should plan an alternate route until the accident is cleared. Patch will post an update when the roadway is open again.

I've lived in Cobb county all my life. It AMAZES me that the Democrats and yankees who move to Cobb can't figure it out: Everybody goes, then everybody goes. It's NOT give one, take one. That takes forever.
