The Georgia Legislature took final action Wednesday on new political district maps, sending the package to Gov. Nathan Deal, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The Republican-domiinated plan also must be approved by federal officials. The plan would have Vinings join Cherokee and Bartow counties in a redrawn district.
