Happy Times in Smyrna-Vinings

It was a lovely Saturday and we documented it here in our Local Viewfinder.

It was a beautiful Saturday in our Smyrna-Vinings Patch. From the polo fields in Vinings to Rev Coffee's Fall Fest to the Russell Elementary 50th birthday party celebration, there were good times to be had.

Take a look at our Local Viewfinder shots and if you feel so inclined, please contribute your own weekend pics of fun. Many thanks to Linda Hornik for the great shots she provided of the Russell Elementary celebration.

You can see here all of Linda’s pictures from Saturday and we’ll have more on the big day at Russell later this Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for sharing S.M. It's this kind of community support that our schools need. I don't have elementary school children. So many times I don't hear about their events until after they're over. I'm sure there are many in our community that feel the same way. But then maybe I need to be a little more pro-active and search for events at our local schools. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Patch made several mentions last week of Brown Elementary's Fall Festival. Several tweets, too. We would love to post pictures if someone would like to submit. Would love it if we could get more user submissions from all kinds of events around Smyrna-Vinings, such as the picture the Nickajack Elementary School Foundation provided us of their Fall Festival last week.
