Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Hello, Smyrna-Vinings Patch!

Meet Angela Chao, your new editor for Smyrna-Vinings Patch.

Today's my first day as your new editor for Smyrna-Vinings Patch, and I'm excited to tell your stories and get to know this community.

This is YOUR Patch, and you as the readers, would know what matters the most to you. So please don't hesitate to email me at angela.chao@patch.com with any news tips, thoughts or ideas you have, I'd love to hear from you. If you're interested in knowing more about me as your new editor, please feel free to read my brief bio on Patch.

As much as I'd like to cover every business, every school, every church, every community group and every local achievement, the truth is that I'm one person. I can't do it by myself. That's why I invite you to become a Local Voices blogger, post announcements and press releases, upload events, and share your photos and videos. After reading the instructions below, you'll know just how easy it is, and what's even better, it's free!

1. Make sure you're a registered user of smyrna.patch.com. Simply enter your first and last name, email address and password.

2. Look for the "Contribute" header at the bottom of the homepage. Under that, click on the "Announce something to everyone" or "Put an event on the calendar" links.

3. If you're interested in blogging, click on the "Start a Blog" link on the Smyrna-Vinings Patch homepage. You can find it under the thumbnail of the second featured story.

4. Fill in all the fields. (You can also add photos, PDF documents, logos, videos and YouTube clips to the file.)

5. Voila! You're done.

See. Didn't I tell you it was easy?

I can't wait to meet you at my "offices" around town. If you walk in Rev Coffee, Starbucks or Panera Bread, don't be afraid to pull up a chair and strike up a conversation with the Patch editor who's got a green "Patch" sticker on her Macbook.

Welcome! Its seems that Acworth's loss/change is our gain! I am looking forward to learning your perspective on our area's events. Smyrna is a town of constant flux and I always look forward to reading the PATCH's emphasis and interpretation.

All the best to you!

Welcome, Angela! I've seen your work before and have always been impressed. So this is great news for us! I lived in Acworth a while back and moved to Smyrna in recent years, you'll soon find out just like I did (if you haven't already) how different these communities are...Smyrna's definitely got A LOT more controversy and craziness, but it's also fun and progressive I hope you'll enjoy being in our community.
