Hinojosa to Be Sworn In this Morning

Michael Hinojosa officially takes the reins as Cobb County schools superintendent today when he is sworn in at the school district’s Central Office at 8 a.m. You can watch the special meeting on Comcast Channel 24 or at the school system’s website, and Smyrna-Vinings Patch will have coverage later today.
The Smyrna Planning and Zoning Board will meet tonight at 6 p.m. at City Hall. On the agenda will be the petition from RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc. to rezone 1.75 acres from General Commercial to Conditional. Smyrna Patch will have more coverage on this later today.
Don’t forget that Mayor Max Bacon is expected to deliver the State of the City address on Thursday at the Smyrna Business Association and Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s luncheon at the Smyrna Community Center.
