Other stars in Neighborhood Watch include Rosemarie DeWitt, Jonah Hill, Will Forte and Richard Ayoade.
Movie Insider has the film coming out in theaters on July 27, 2012. The website’s synopsis of the movie: “A city-guy moves to a suburban community, joins the neighborhood watch and uncovers a large conspiracy.”
In March, Cobb County became camera-ready, which is a state designation saying that an area is prepared for TV and movies to be filmed.
“We are ready, able, willing and want the TV and movie industry to come to Cobb,” said Holly Bass, CEO of the Cobb County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
Bass said movies being filmed in Cobb has been good for the area because of the exposure and additional revenues.
“It just kind of a boosts everything,” she said.
A “fair” amount of movies have been filmed in Cobb County, Bass said, such as Remember the Titans, Footloose, Necessary Roughness, The Walking Dead and A Joyful Noise.
"We’ve been very fortunate because we have a lot of activity,” Bass said.
Bass said Cobb County is a location chosen for TV and movies because of what it has to offer.
“You can have a lake. You can have something more rural. You have a downtown," she said. "There are just lots of looks and opportunities for TV magic.”
