Hugs for All on Hug Holiday Day
Smyrna-Vinings Patch staff hit the streets to share hugs and good karma.
After a month marked at times by tense comments on the Smyrna-Vinings Patch shout rail, Hunt and Sydney decided to spread some good vibes in our patch in honor of Hug Holiday Day.
Hug Holiday Day is celebrated every year on June 29. This special day was created by the Hugs for Health Foundation; a group that believes “hugs nurture the human spirit promoting a more positive outlook thus enhancing the quality of one's life."
Traditionally Hug Holiday Day focuses on the elderly, sick, invalid and lonely, but we at Smyrna-Vinings Patch are equal opportunity huggers. Sydney and Hunt hugged both the young and old, male and female and even Pepsi and Coke.

What a wonderful story. If I had known you guys were out and about on a hugging spree I might have tried to come find you! I am very fortunate that I have raised a large family and hugs abound in our home. We hug all our friends, our kids friends and pretty much anyone that crosses our threshold. It's good for the soul for sure. Thank you Patch, For reminding us the power of Hugs!

KInda funny. The article below this one is about the Georgia State Patrol and them being out and about this weekend. I'm pretty sure they aren't handing out hugs. They are doing a thankless job. Many thanks to all our law enforcement who will be out protecting us this coming holiday weekend, as well as every day and night.
