Are you PTA member with an opinion about the Cobb County schools calendar? If so, today is your last chance to apply to serve on the Cobb County School District's calendar advisory committee.

CCSD currently seeks two PTA members from each of Cobb County’s four PTA Councils to serve on the advisory committee with teachers, administrators and community representatives. The committee will meet three to five times beginning in August and will present their recommendations to Hinojosa in September. Those interested in serving can find an application form with their PTA Council or at the CCSD website. Applications must be submitted to Lori Sweet, Georgia PTA's ninth district director by Monday, March 26. Applications can be emailed to sweetgapta@bellsouth.net.

Also this week, don't forget that kindergarten registration for all Cobb County schools is Wednesday, March 28. All elementary schools will conduct registration for students entering kindergarten or first grade for the first time in 2012 on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Not sure of your child's zoned school?
