I really wish they'd stop emphasizing "diversity" for the sake of it, and actually start talking about having the right people who are QUALIFIED in the right positions to make the County run the most effectively. If that means everyone in position is White, everyone is Black, or Latino or Asian, so be it, but I'm tired of conversations leaning toward putting people in place based on their race in order to be "diverse". We can see where "diversity" has put Atlanta when people vote strictly on race - a city with corruption, high crime, and so many problems. If people are put into position based on what they can positively contribute to the community, as opposed to simply having a Kum-ba-yah photo opp, then we'd be in a much better place.
