Hurricane Sandy Pelts East Coast

Areas along the East Coast were under mandatory evacuations Monday as Hurricane Sandy barreled toward the shore.

Reports of damage were pouring in, and a number of roads were impassable, including those that usually do not experience flooding. Residents were advised not to try driving over them because the water might be deeper than it looked.

North Carolina Boys Found Dead in Submerged Car

The bodies of two North Carolina boys were pulled from a submerged car in South Carolina after search crews saw the bumper and license plate Sunday night near the Wateree River.

This comes after a three-week search for Jake Ziegler and Ray Pierce, who went missing from Catawba County, NC. They told family members they were headed to Myrtle Beach.

Initial reports show that the boys died in a single-car accident where speed played a part, The State reports. Click here to read more.
