POLL: What Food Trucks Would You Like to See at Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays?

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays are coming to Taylor Brawner Park as early as June 26. What tasty treats would you like to see served?

Food trucks are all the rage in metro Atlanta. The Howell Mill Food Truck Park opened in April and now Smyrna is hip to the food truck trend. City Council voted Monday to approve Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays in Taylor Brawner Park.

Jennifer Bennett, Smyrna's community relations director, said the trucks could roll into Smyrna as soon as June 26. The trucks will set up in the parking area near the playground and serve tasty eats from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. She said the organizers are currently looking for musicians to do a little dinner performance.

"We’re looking for people who just really love music and food and art, but mostly food," she said. "I think it will be really successful."

Smyrna's hometown Happy Belly Food Truck has already said they're excited to get started. King of Pops is another metro Atlanta favorite. The Yumbii food truck is no stranger to Cobb County, maybe they'll bring some of their tasty tacos.

What food trucks would you like to see at Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays? Tell us in the comments.

One Smyrna-Vinings Patch Facebook fan had this to say: "Happy Belly and Champion Cheesesteaks as they are both Cobb based."

I'm not familiar with them all, but I have enjoyed Just Loaf'N and Souper Jenny's food trucks. A cohesive list is found here: http://www.atlantastreetfood.com/vendors

Invite them all! My son manages the Grilled Cheese Truck in Los Angeles and they have about 18 trucks show up in Venice Beach once a month on Thursdays and it is extremely popular. The local restuarants finally got on board once they realized that the food trucks can't serve alcohol and the only seating is nearby benches and curbs, so the patrons would go to the local establishments for beverages and music after they got their foodie on. I think this is a wonderful opportunity for the truck owners, local establishments and the City coffers. Can't wait to taste some of the wonderful food coming our way.

While I have seen Chevy, Ford, Nissan, Mercedes, Toyota, etc. trucks converted into mobile kitchens, it would be nice to see a solar powered truck, or better yet, something powered by Biodiesel to show how food trucks can leave a smaller carbon footprint.

Oh, I'm sorry Sydney, you were looking for an answer more to the point of food served and not the literal question posited, "What food trucks would you like to see at Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays."
