Where to Hunt Easter Eggs
Life Church Assembly of God’s Easter Egg-Stravaganza gets underway Saturday at 10 a.m. The event features egg hunts for children 10 and under, inflatables and Easter basket giveaways for children and adults. Admission is free.
Cumberland United Methodist Church is also hosting an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. on its front lawn. The event is free and open to children of all ages.
Smyrna First United Methodist hosts Easter in the Park Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cobb Park. This event sponsored by the church's children's ministry and local missions ministry includes an egg hunt, egg toss, inflatable moonwalk and a hotdog lunch. There's no cost to attend.
Sparkles Roller Rink will hide prize-filled eggs for children 10 and younger Saturday at 4 p.m.
Where to Eat Easter Brunch
After Easter services, fill up on Easter brunch at one of several Smyrna-Vinings restaurants.
Muss and Turner’s serves an Easter brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with shrimp and grits, smoked trout deviled eggs, scrambled eggs and Welsh rarebit and fruit cobbler. Brunch is $29.93 for adults plus tax and gratuity. Children ages six through 12 eat for $14.93. Kids six and under eat free. Reservations are recommended. Call 770-434-1114.
Marlow’s Tavern serves a Sunday brunch buffet each week and Easter is no exception. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. enjoy made-to-order omelettes, crab cake benedict, bacon, grits, pancakes, maple fried chicken and fresh fruit for $15.99. Kids eat from the buffet for $6.99. Brunch isn’t complete without a mimosa. Marlow’s offers bottomless mimosas for $15.

Remember, all City of Smyrna offices will be closed in honor of Good Friday, April 6. However, trash and recycling will be picked up as usual.
