Strike it Rich on South Cobb Drive
Sandra Carpenter of Smyrna won a Jeep and $25,000 with a ticket she bought at a South Cobb Drive Chevron. Last month an Austell woman also won the lottery with a ticket she bought on South Cobb Drive.
South Cobb Drive might officially be the luckiest place in Smyrna.
Sandra Carpenter, 48 of Smyrna, bought a lottery ticket at the Chevron Food Mart at 2875 South Cobb Drive and gave no thought to scratching it off in the store. She won a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and $25,000 cash.
“I was shaking and crying,” she told a representative from the Georgia Lottery. “I was about to pass out.”
Carpenter was presented her prize Thrusday at Ed Voyles Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Marietta. She's not the first person to win big on South Cobb Drive. In March Vilmer Meyer of Austell bought a winning ticket at L&S Food Mart at 4495 South Cobb Drive. The great-grandmother of two won $250,000 a year for 30 years.

Congratulations to these winners. Now, the entire South Cobb area before the area where the new Kroger is needs reviving(extreme make over)...Can Smyrna Patch do a story? The building code enforcement folks need to get busy writing out citiations for violations, buildings need to be torn down, serious beautifications needs to happen.
