Support Cobb Libraries at Book Sale

A book sale is being held Oct. 12-14 to help Cobb library staff purchase new materials.

The Friends of Cobb Public Library System's semi-annual book sale is being held Friday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 14 in Exhibit Halls A and B of Jim Miller Park at 2245 Callaway Road in Marietta.

The sale runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. Items for sale include soft cover and hard back books, magazines, text books, DVD and VHS movies and children's books. Prices will range from 10 cents to $5. Only cash and check will be accepted at the sale.

Last year, the book sales generated more than $80,000, which enabled the library staff to purchase new materials, including books and DVDs.

This year, the group hopes to raise more than $100,000, which will be used to purchase additional materials including e-books.
