UPDATE: Shooting Victim Released From Hospital
Keotis Cooks and Laterence Reynolds were shot at a home on Argo Drive Monday.
One of the men injured in a shooting Monday on Argo Drive in Smyrna has been released from the hospital.
Keotis Cooks, 29, of Smyrna and Laterence Reynolds, 27, of Marietta, were shot Monday by a white or light-skinned black man in his early to mid 20s. The man entered Cooks' home with Reynolds and then opened fire. Cooks was shot in the left arm and right thigh and Reynolds in the chest. The unidentified man then fled the scene in a dark colored Dodge Magnum.
According to a Smyrna police report, both men were taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Cooks was discharged Tuesday, but hospital officials had no record that Reynolds was treated.
