Veterans Day Ceremony is Friday in Smyrna

Everyone is invited to Brinkley Park to help remember those who have served and are serving to preserve our freedom and our heritage.

 

On Friday, the Smyrna Veterans Committee, a coordinating body sponsored by the City of Smyrna, American Legion Post 160, the Veterans Memorial Association of Smyrna, and the Smyrna Rotary Club, will present the Annual Veterans Day ceremony.

The 11 a.m. event, which will be held at Brinkley Park, 1270 Hunter Street in Smyrna, is open to the public and veterans and families are invited.

Everyone is invited to help remember those who have served and are serving to preserve our freedom and our heritage.

Speakers include Joseph “Doc” Masterson, Sr., Col. Ret., US Army, Korea and Vietnam Veteran and Bob Babcock, Capt., US Army, Vietnam Veteran.

The Belmont Hills Elementary School Honors Chorus and the Osborne High School Band will be providing patriotic music.
