Smyrna Police are asking citizens to help identify a suspect in the armed robbery of two Smyrna Subway restaurants on the night of Jan. 23.

Officers responded to the Subway restaurant located at 2550 Cobb Pkwy after receiving a report of an armed robbery. Approximately 20 minutes later, officers responded to a second armed robbery at the Subway restaurant located at 2517 Spring Rd, said Smyrna police spokesman Michael Smith.

Video evidence recovered from both stores confirmed that it is the same suspect in both incidents. Smith said it is possible the suspect walked from location to location since the stores are located wthin a short distance from each other.

Investigators said the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money from store employees, and left the stores on foot.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-1 white male with a medium build, last seen wearing glasses and a black over gray Northface style jacket.

Anyone who may have seen or recognized the man in the videos is asked to contact the Smyrna Police Department at 678-631-5240 or 770-434-9481.

Too bad the cameras are set up to watch the employees and the register. Maybe the perp knew this also.

If he can afford a Northface jacket, why does he need to rob folks???

Maybe he stole the jacket too, or it was a Wal-mart knock off. At any rate I hope he is caught soon.
