Yummy Yumbii Pit Stops at Atlanta Galleria

The Yumbii food truck will be making weekly appearances at the Atlanta Galleria Office Park.

The Yumbii food truck satisfies appetites for gourmet fusion food in Midtown, Inman Park and Atlantic Station and on Tuesday it rolled into the Atlanta Galleria Office Park.

Childress Klein Properties manages the office park and helped bring the Yumbii food truck to instill a sense of community among tenants. Christin Clay is a representative of Wilbert News Strategies, the firm that is assisting Childress Klein Properties make its tenants feel at home.

“They always want to bring new exciting things to their tenants,” she said. “They used to have a market-type thing here, but they’re not doing that any more. So they wanted to bring something new and fresh.''

The Yumbii food truck is part of a larger nationwide food truck trend. Food truck fare is no longer restricted to hot dogs and pretzels. The Yumbii food truck offers Korean barbecue tacos, pulled pork sliders, fish tacos, quesadillas and sesame fries.

“It’s just a really big thing that’s happening in Atlanta right now and this is the first time it’s really come into this area, to Cobb County, so they wanted to bring that to their tenants,” said Clay.

The Yumbii food truck proved popular on Tuesday. During the lunch rush, about 30 people waited in line.

Laura Leroux had previously ordered from the Yumbii food truck during a festival at Atlanta’s Candler Park.

“I think it’s really good,” she said. “I like the Korean aspects of it. It’s a long line, too. I waited 30 minutes.”

Kris Mintz was in line to try Yumbii’s offerings for the first time. She heard the food truck was coming from a Childress Klein Properties email and looked up Yumbii online.

“I’m pretty adventurous with food so I’m just going to try whatever they have,” she said. “It got good ratings.”

The Yumbii food truck was at the Atlanta Galleria Office Park from approximately 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday and will be making regular stops there in the future. The food truck accepts credit cards as well as cash and is open to the public.
