Btw, afaik, the city leaders are fully on top of this and were actually proactive in getting Google Read Moreonboard by pushing for added fiber capacity in general.

I have Charter and I have had great service from Charter. Customer Service has been wonderful,Read MoreTechn ical service has been great and the technicians are friendly and competent. I have heard horror stories about ComCast but I do not have any personal knowledge of their service.

That's great that you have had great experiences with charter, but I haven't. My point isn't withRead MoreCh arter or Comcast, it's that we as homeowners should have the right to choose whomever we like.

Kea, please read my post re Comcast - is this good customer service? I am an honest, pay my billsRead Moreon time, do not want a problem with anyone, and Comcast has just about killed me. Please click on the link to the Facebook page and read the comments that come in frequently. I was with them for one month, only did so because I need good TV reception in my area; could not speak to anyone in this country most of the time and when I did I could not get proper assistance. They charged me for a higher program than I ordered, which was my word against theirs. I wrote a comment on Facebook, was contacted by their escalation dept. and she told me that was what I ordered. I signed on for a $99/mo. package and my first bill was $384. Mind you, only $30 of that was for installation. And today I get a call from a collections agency that I owe them $200 something. I rec'd a letter yesterday that I opened about returning equipment. I rec'd a call from their "equipment recovery dept." a few weeks ago (I had already ret'd. equipment) and I told them that I had ret'd it, gave them the 2 invoice numbers, and now this bill for $266.53 has 3 points, each about returning equipment. My health is not good, but what I am supposed to do next? I ret'd to AT&T for telephone and internet and had some not-so-good moments, but eventually AT&T removed incorrect charges, gave me credit for a service that was missing and now I can breathe about that. I was beginning to wonder about AT&T and told them so. The problem today is that there are too many monopolies in this country. Just keep watching as to what is happening and going to happen with airlines now that they have merged into 3 main domestic carriers (fare, fees, etc.). There is now a movement to charge for carry on luggage. I don't recognize this country anymore, in more ways than one, and I cannot blame the president, as often happens.
