Residents are invited to a workshop for homeowners called "Backyard Streams and Trees."  Participants will learn about backyard streams and what they can do to help make healthier streamside areas with trees and plantings.  Forestry Commission, and other restoration professionals, will share information and people will be able to see the Cobb Soil and Water Conservation District restoration demo project outside the library at Shaw Park.  There will also be fun children's activities and participants will receive free tree seedlings to plant in their own backyards.
