Village Taqueria will celebrate a popular Mexican tradition, the Day of the Dead, with a night of culture, great food and special cocktails. On November 2, Mexicans create an altar to honor the memory of loved ones who have died. It is believed that their souls return to visit their families. To greet them, the families prepare a special celebration that includes their favorite foods, flowers, toys and other symbolic offerings. On that date, Village, with the Institute of Mexico and Jose Cuervo, will offer a range of cultural and entertainment activities highlighting the Mexican celebration, from 7:00 p.m. No Mas will set up an altar to welcome guests, while an artist will paint skulls onto people’s faces, as guests both mourn and celebrate their deceased relatives.
