$5 for Garden members, $10 for non-members
The Garden is lucky to offer many ecosystems to explore including the living Shoal Creek that flows behind it. With nets, gloves, and boots provided, your 6+ adventurer will enjoy a fun hour looking for dragonflies, fish, crawdads and more. Join Don and Cris Lake, members of the Shoal Creek Watershed Alliance, and they will share and enhance your child’s environmental education. Parents many drop off or stay. Limited boots and gloves are available so you may want to bring your own. Long sleeve shirts and pants and bug spray are highly recommended. 5 minimum and pre-registration is required.

More About Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center
Established in 1997, The Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center offers a wide range of classes, programs and special events for individuals, families and youth on such topics as organic gardening, sustainable urban living, nutrition and health. Its popular youth program is one of the metro-area’s largest and offers year-round educational programs. The two on-site gardens serve as gathering spaces, wildlife habitats and demonstration gardens. To get involved, be sure to sign up for a class or become a volunteer or a member.
