Emory-Adventist Hosts Holiday Safety Discussion

The lecture will cover topics such as safe shopping and ways to sniff out a potential thief.

A local hospital will host an information session designed to introduce people to techniques they can use to stay safe over the holiday season.

Smyrna's Emory-Adventist Hospital will hold a "Staying Safe for the Holidays" event at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The featured speaker for the event is Officer Marc Couey, a certified non-violent crisis intervention instructor.

Couey will discuss ways you can keep your family safe over the busy holiday season, such as picking up on the warning signs of potential thieves and how to protect your home when you're out of town.
