Festival of Trees Celebrates Animal Rescue Group's Milestone

Road Trip Home has saved the lives of one thousand cats and dogs in 2013.

A local animal rescue group that has saved 1,000 lives this year is preparing to celebrate their accomplishment as part of the Festival of Trees being held at the Embassy Suites in the Galleria.

Road Trip Home, which transports dogs and cats in danger of death to no-kill shelters across the country, is hosting the "1,000 Lives" celebration and fundraiser on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.

Highlights of the evening will include a silent auction, a raffle, appetizers, and beverages. Attendees can also leave donations underneath Road Trip Home's Christmas tree in the Festival of Lights. The charity with the most financial presents under their tree on Dec. 19 will receive an additional $1,000 from Embassy Suites.

Tickets for the event cost $30. Contact Road Trip Home at (678) 861-PAWS (7297) or roadtriphome@ymail.com for more information.
