Register Today to Meet Braves' President

The president of the Atlanta Braves will be the featured speaker at an event in Vinings next week, and you can register now to guarantee your place at the table.

John Schuerholz will be the star attraction of the Vinings Business Association's Tuesday luncheon, which will be held at Social Vinings restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Braves have become a lightning rod of controversy since announcing their plans to build a stadium just outside Smyrna by 2017.

The Braves' move to the suburbs has met with stiff opposition from both sides of the political spectrum, but was approved by the Cobb Board of Commissioners last month.

Lunch costs $15 for members and $20 for non-members. All attendees must register for the event online at least 24 hours in advance of the event.

The Vinings Business Association also plans to announce the winner of the 2013 Vinings Business of the Year award during the event. Nominees for the award are: Bright Side News Vinings, Courtyard Atlanta Vinings Hotel, Delmar Gardens, PrintWave, and Social Vinings.
