Smyrna Community Center To Host "Noon Year's Eve"
Radio Disney will kick off the new year 12 hours in advance of the real thing with a balloon drop at noon.
Families who want to ring in the new year a little early are invited to come to the Smyrna Community Center between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to take part in Radio Disney's Noon Year's Eve party.
Radio Disney AM 590 will be at the Community Center spinning tracks for the large dance party, and will be hosting games, giving out prizes, and running contests for the attendees.
The highlight of the day will come at noon, when a balloon drop will "ring in" the new year, without all the champagne and adult silliness that will come twelve hours later (Although in countries in the GMT + 7 time zone like Cambodia and Laos, the new year will be coming at noon Smyrna time).
This is the only event the Smyrna Community Center will be hosting until Thursday, as the building has been closed since Christmas Eve for repairs and maintenance.
