Vision 2026 Meeting Scheduled For Tonight

The Cobb County School District wants your input on how it should operate in the future.

The second of four meanings meant to determine public opinions on the Cobb County School District's flexibility options will be held on Thursday evening at South Cobb High School.

The Vision 2026 program looks to designate the school district in to one of three systems starting in 2015. These systems will allow the school district some flexibility from state education mandates in exchange for greater accountability.

Before the school district settles on a system, it is seeking the public's input on which system to choose. The first of four meetings open to the public to discuss the Vision 2026 program was held at Campbell High School on Nov. 18.

Thursday's session will begin at 4:30 p.m. for Cobb County School District personnel and at 6:30 p.m. for the general public.
