Smyrna PetsMart PetHotel A+

A nervous pet parent leaving my beagles anywhere, I trusted the Smyrna PetsMart PetHotel with my girls and was rather pleased.

Tis the season for summer vacations! It's great for the soul to unwind and relax. But for pet parents like me, there is a bit of anxiety associated with leaving town. Not only am I somewhat new to the area (moving here from St. Louis), but I am also quite a hands on pet mom to two beagles. Last time I left town and boarded my beagles, the refused to eat or drink. I was gone for a weekend. They didn't eat the entire time. After that experience, I managed to get family and friends to watch my precious fur-babies, my #SmilingPooches, while I was away.

Being new to the area,  I had to board my #SmilingPooches for a trip back to St. Louis. I was a little apprehensive about how they would react to being gone from their mommy for a week. I take my girls to Banfield in Smyrna and thought PetsMart's PetHotel. It seemed nice and pretty affordable, even with daily play time and a bath and nail trim.

I called daily to check on the beagles. I was so worried I'd have a repeat experience with them not eating. They shared a room and had play time together. I was a little surprised to hear good reports every time I called. My girls were eating and playing--or so I was told. I honestly thought they were just telling me that so I would be happy.  But when I picked up my babies, they looked happy and well fed. Lyn, my rescue who is normally very leery of strangers, went to all PetsHotel staff and gave them a kiss before we left. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. My girls seemed to have enjoyed their adventure away from home and their mommy. Vernon, the PetsHotel manager, was great! The level of service he provided was outstanding. He knew exactly who I was and my dogs. I definitely didn't expect that considering they had lots of pets there.

Needless to say, next time I leave town or take a vaca, I'll trust the Smyrna PetsSmart PetsHotel. They did a good job taking care of my #SmilingPooches.
