2013 Taste of Smyrna to Bring “Festival of Delectable”

About 30 local restaurants from Smyrna, Vinings and Metro Atlanta are expected to showcase what they do best and tempt your taste buds.

The Taste of Smyrna is coming back this September, bringing a “Festival of Delectable” to satisfy palates, entertain with live music, and please the kids, all in one day.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Smyrna's Village Green. About 30 local restaurants from Smyrna, Vinings and Metro Atlanta are expected to showcase what they do best and tempt your taste buds, including Atkins Park, Maggiano’s, Meehan’s Public House, The Melting Pot, Pier 213 Seafood, Wing Zone, Williamson Bros. BBQ and Bruster’s Ice Cream. Water and soft drink sales at the Taste of Smyrna will benefit The Smyrna Education Foundation.

Admission is free, and samples may be purchased from $1 up to $4. There will be acoustic music from Scott Thompson entertaining patrons from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. adjacent to the Veteran’s Memorial. The evening will be topped off with a live concert from 7-9 p.m. featuring Peachtree Station.

Bring your children to enjoy an enormous Kids Zone with interactive inflatables featuring the 33’ Shark Slide, Euro Bungee Quad Jump, 24’ Rockwall and 120’ Roller Coaster Obstacle Course.

Event organizers said that more than 25,000 are expected to attend this year's Taste of Smyrna.
