'30 Minutes or Less' Delivers Despite Cheese Factor

The pizza businesses is bombing one chuckle at a time.

This week's Dinner and a Movie features the flick "30 Minutes or Less" and of course, pizza.

Movie: 30 Minutes or Less

"Social Network" star Jesse Eisenberg finds himself in dire straits as a pizza delivery guy turned bank robber in the dark comedy "30 Minutes or Less".

Eisenberg, along with "Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari, team up to rob a bank to help Dwayne (played by Danny McBride) obtain $100,000 in order to pay a hit man (Michael Peña) to kill Dwayne's father (played by Fred Ward). The reason for the murder -- to get Dwayne's inheritance. Nick Swardson plays McBride's sidekick in this fast-paced and strangely funny film.

This film is based on a similar premise as "Zombieland" -- by placing incompetent characters in outrageous situations and facing near death experiences you can find … humor.

Proving truth really is stranger than fiction, "30 Minutes or Less" was clearly inspired by the real life case involving Brian Wells back in 2003. Wells, a pizza delivery man, attempted to rob a bank while wearing a collar bomb. Though his story ended in tragedy, we can all just sit back and chuckle at this film. The flick-o-meter gives "30 Minutes or Less" a three out of five.

The young actors and comedians have moments of brilliance in this part comedy and part action movie. There is no redeeming social value to this film other than the fact that it is entertaining and you don't feel like you have wasted too much of your time.
