Book Drive Supports MUST Ministries

The Cobb County School District's library media department has launched a book drive to support MUST Ministries' summer lunch program.

Every Friday, children in MUST Ministries' summer lunch program receive a book.

Now the Cobb County School District's library media department has launched a book drive to support the program.

Not only will the book drive support MUST Ministries' program, it will promote participation in the district's summer reading program.

District officials recently announced a partnership with the Cobb County Public Library System to create a "unified" summer reading experience for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

They have developed suggested reading lists to represent both school and public library collections, and have created incentive programs to encourage students to read during the summer break.
