District 4 Commissioner Lisa Cupid attended the opening ceremony at Sweetwater House in Austell.

Right in the Community, a Cobb-based nonprofit, opened a new location in South Cobb to help adults and children with developmental disabilities.

An opening ceremony was held last week at the newly-completed Sweetwater House located on North Avenue in Austell. Cobb District 4 Commissioner Lisa Cupid spoke at the event and attended the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Sweetwater House is funded by HUD's Section 811 Housing Program. It will service four individuals, and is the 24th house opened by Right in the Community to serve as affordable, accessible housing for adults with developmental disabilities.
