Yard Sale

Where: 3431 Chancellors Drive, Powder Springs
When: Sat, 8am-2pm
Featured items: Twin headboard, household items, reproduction tins, men's, ladies' and young men's clothing, toys, kids bikes, bed mount, tool box for small pickup truck and more.

Preschool Yard Sale

Where: Mountain View United Methodist, 2300 Jamerson Road, Marietta

When: Sat, 8am-2pm
Featured items: Household items, clothing of all sizes, furniture, gardening items, bake sale and face painting.

Kindergarten Fundraiser Sale

Where: Shiloh Hills Christian School, 260 Hawkins Store Road NE, Kennesaw
When: Sat, 8am-2pm 
Featured items: Antique furniture, tools, fishing tackle, rods, reels, collector Barbie dolls, decorator fabric, arts and crafts supplies, sewing machines, household items, jewelry, clothes, toys, books, original art and more.
Info: All proceeds of the yard sale go to Shiloh Hills Christian School's kindergarten department.

Neighborhood Sale

Where: New Bedford Subdivision, 900 Forest Pond Court, Marietta (Park in tennis court parking lot)
When: Sat, 8am-noon
Featured items: Children's toys, strollers, DVDs, decorative home items, bedding, wall art and more.
Info: All money will go to metro Atlanta breast cancer organizations.

Neighborhood Sale

Where: Village North subdivision, 2452 Lorrie Drive, Marietta
When: Sat, 9am-2pm 
Featured items: Tools, kids toys, kids cloths, books and other household items.
Info: All donations and proceeds will go to neighborhood pool repairs and maintenance.

This is Garrison Plantation - Garrison Lakes - Lakefront Vista. I lived there when it was familyRead More owned. It went from sister to brother then sold. Changed name from Garrison Plantation (because it wasn't PC) (but no one thought about what a garrison was) to Garrison Lakes (there's only one lake) to Lakefront Vista (under new ownership.) It's a dump now. The layout and size of the apts. are great. Even the location is great. Still know some people there. But it went downhill.

I'd rather answer the question "How do you feel about Roswell Street Baptist Church?" MyRead More answer: can't stand it. This incident is just another in its long and bigoted history. During the anti gay lifestyle debacle it gave out copies of the 10 Commandments. That anti gay resolution drafted by Gordon Wysong and enacted by the Cobb Co. Commissioners cost the county an Olympic venue. Whenever I hear about that church I think of the OM who called the church's prominent members The Marietta Mafia!

Its sad, that young people who are gay and often struggle to accept themselves as they are, faceRead More such fury and rejection by a church that preaches love, compassion and forgiveness for most but not all. No wonder many young people, the vast majority of whom are or will be heterosexual find the church increasingly irrelevant in their lives with attitudes like this.
