"Downton" Comes to Smyrna

You have a chance to catch the latest episode before it hits the airwaves.

Fans of the hit show "Downton Abbey" can get a sneak peek of the newest episode at a special event being hosted by the Smyrna Public Library later this month.

The library is hosting "Downton Day" on Friday, Jan. 31 from 2 to 3:30 p.m., and will be serving tea and scones on lace tablecloths and china before an exclusive showing of episode 5, season 4. The episode will not be shown on television until Feb. 2.

Space is limited to 25 people, so RSVP now by e-mailing sreference@smyrnaga.gov

Attendees are encouraged to dress up for the event, as it is a formal, British affair. Monocles and waxed mustaches are optional, but would look quite capital, old boy.
