Free Holiday Concert in Smyrna
Head to the Smyrna Community Center this weekend for a free Holiday Concert performed by the 116th Georgia Army National Guard Band.
Residents will get to enjoy a free Holiday Concert this Saturday at the Smyrna Community Center. Starting at 7 p.m., the 116th Georgia Army National Guard Band will be performing to kick off the holiday season.
The band is based at the Clay National Guard Headquarters at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, and is considered by many as Smyrna’s “local” military band, said Ward 6 Councilman Wade Lnenicka.
The band is one of the very few military bands left in the Southeast, and has been a regular participant in Smyrna's Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies.
