Here’s what SafeWise had to say about our town:

Smyrna offers a variety of community education services for its residents, including drug and alcohol awareness, which may help keep this city safe. Smyrna is not only a proud member of the Cobb County school district, but it also supports the Smyrna Education Foundation, which is active in the educational advancement of Smyrna’s public schools. Smyrna offers a wealth of activities for children and adults of all ages, including everything from Abrakadoodle Yummy Art Camp and Advanced Tumble Bears to adult co-ed sports and senior fitness classes.

While the program's listed above may help, what the writers can't say in the article is that any city with a large concentration of blacks is a high crime area. Young black males commit violent crimes at a rate 47 times higher than any other definable group.

Being #32 still means that 18 cities are safer than Smyrna. Living in Smyrna we've been mugged, had license plate stolen, car broken into, and neighbors dealing in drugs/sex trade. Smyrna's really safe.

Hahaha...this one still finds fault w/Smyrna even when it is ranked on a superlative list. Smyrna is ranked as the 32nd SAFEST city in GA out of 127 municipalities w/a population of 5000+, & despite 95 other municipalities having a lesser rating, all this one can see are the 31 above Smyrna. Priceless. You could always move...that would solve all your problems w/Smyrna.
