Fundraising effort for the annual Smyrna Heroes Gala kicked off this evening at Atkins Park Tavern in Smyrna's Market Village.
The crowd enjoyed live music performed by Wesley Cook while supporting a community event that honors local law enforcement and helps fund the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation.
This year's Smyrna Heroes Gala is scheduled for Sept. 13, and will be held at Brawner Hall.
