Happy Father's Day to All the Dads!

How are you spending Father's Day in the Smyrna-Vinings area? Let us know and share your pictures.

Happy Father's Day! This observance dates back to 1910, when Sonora Dodd of Spokane, Washington wanted to honor her father, who raised six children by himself after his wife died. In 1966, the idea became official. Nationwide, there are just over 70 million men who are fathers with over 25 million of them part of married couple families with children younger than 18.  You can find more facts about America from the U.S. Census Bureau online at www.census.gov.

Locally, show your dad some Father’s Day love by treating him this time and bringing him to for an outrageously good Low Down Lobster Boil. From 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, $25 per person entitles guests to a whopping 1.5-pound Maine lobster served with fresh corn on the cob, creamer potatoes, spicy Andouille sausage and a crisp green salad. Quite a deal! Reservations are required, so visit SOHO’s website or call 770-801-0069.
