The meeting will discuss the importance of the Chattahoochee River Line Civil War Battlefield, which begins in Mableton along the Chattahoochee River and runs north through Smyrna to Vinings.

Topics of discussion also include methods to preserve and protect the battlefield, potential tax advantages to property owners and new opportunities for recreation and heritage tourism. The MIC's ultimate goal is to open this publicly-owned greenspace and historic area to the public.
