Mother’s Day is this Sunday and Smyrna-Vinings Patch has rounded up a list of activities for the family or for mom to enjoy solo.

For the Family:

Even the family dog can get in on this event. Dog Days at the Market at Riverview Landing is Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. This fun event features a five-acre dog pasture, a farmer’s market, live music and local beer from Sweetwater Brewery. Several food trucks will serve tasty bites on site including . Bands performing at the event are Shed, Rocket 88, The Non-Essentials and The Owls.

The event is free, but donations to Atlanta Pet Rescue will be collected. Atlanta Pet Rescue recently moved its shelter to Smyrna. Riverview Landing is located at 6271 Riverview Road Southeast in Mableton.

Families can enjoy story time at  Friday at 11 a.m. will read several children’s stories, talk about the summer reading program and tell kids how to sign up for their very own library card. Story time is free to the public.

The holds its . Breakfast is $5 and includes all you can eat eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, grits and hashbrowns. The public is invited to attend and breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Just for Mom:

Moms can check out Friday at . Finch performs music that “sounds the way a good bourbon tastes” from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.

Smyrna Academy of Excellence holds its Saturday, May 13 at 8 p.m. at . Admission is $25 and benefits the new charter school. Tickets can be purchased online.

Mother’s Day Specials:

, one of Smyrna’s newest restaurants, serves up spring brunch in honor of Mother’s Day Sunday. Moms receive a complimentary margarita and Chef Jose will serve some tasty specials all day long.

Mom’s get a free yogurt or float when they bring their kids to Sunday. Cowlick’s is open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
