Pink Plumber Keeps on Giving

The conclusion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month doesn't slow longtime Smyrna business from donating a percentage of profits to fight breast cancer.

October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month may be done, but Smyrna’s is no where near finished giving.

Since 2010, “The Pink Plumber” has donated 5 percent of its net profits, year-round, to breast cancer research and awareness.

Owner Geoff Gillon’s mother is a survivor, and to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Aames upped its commitment to donate 10 percent of its net profits throughout last month to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

In mid-October, company executives presented the organization with a check for $2,500, the amount raised at that point. A final donation figure was not known at the time of this article’s posting.

The company, located at 2620 Mathews Street, has been providing air conditioning, heating and plumbing services in Atlanta for more than two decades. Aames offers commercial, industrial and residential services and takes pride in providing the best customer service possible for each of its clients.
