Patch Staff Report

CreditDonkey.com, a financial education website, has compiled a new list of Georgia's best cities for young adults - and Smyrna is among the top 10.
Largely relying on U.S. Census data and FBI crime data, the site ranked the 150 largest population centers in Georgia based on the median salary for college graduates, the percent of residents between 20 and 34 years old, and safety.

CreditDonkey.com wrote:

"Smyrna has been on a serious growth path in recent years, with the population up more than 28 percent between 2000 and 2012. Residents of Smyrna tend to be more educated, with over half of the adults having a bachelor's degree or more, making Smyrna a great place for young adults to consider."

Young adults will consider Smyrna, & then when they see there are no nice apartments for them to live, they will go to Cumberland, the Perimeter, Buckhead, Midtown, etc. But why do things that will attract/retain quality new residents when we can scream "NIMBY!"
