A 36-year-old Smyrna woman is $250,000 richer after matching the first five numbers in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing.
The winning numbers were: 6-10-12-28-32 and the Mega Ball was 38.
Tequila Hayes used her grandparents' birthdays to come up with her winning combination of numbers, Georgia Lottery spokeswoman Kimberly M. Starks said in a news release.
"I got an email," Hayes said, "and I recognized the numbers. I checked and was extremely excited."
Hayes, who bought the ticket at the Spring Road RaceTrac, picked up her prize Wednesday morning at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth. The married mother of five plans to put the money toward bills and a vacation.
"We’ve always joked that we’d win," she said.
