More than 1,000 people turned out to celebrate St. Paddy's at the Smyrna St. Patrick's Day Festival at Market Village Saturday. And Smyrna-Vinings Patch was there to photograph the fun.
The festival got underway at 2 p.m. with a peformance by Homefront. Smyrna Mayor Max Bacon dyed the Market Village fountain green with help from his friends. Proceeds from this year's festival benefit Mustard Seed Communities, a nonprofit that supports handicapped and abandoned children in marginalized communities like Jamaica, Nicagargua, the Dominican Republic and Zimbabwe.
