Woodland Brook Drainage Improvements Coming to a Close

The roadway is expected to open to traffic Monday, July 29.

The Woodland Brook Drainage Improvement Project is coming to a close. According to Cobb County Distirct 2 Commissioner Bob Ott, Woodland Brook Drive remains closed to traffic in the vicinity of Brandy Station Drive. The contractor is backfilling the concrete culvert and beginning paving.Β

The roadway was closed to traffic on Monday, June 18 and is expected to remain closed until Sunday, July 29. Contractors are working to replace dual 48-inch pipes beneath the roadway with a 25-foot bottomless arch culvert. The improvements are intended to prevent flooding in the area.Β

Local traffic can use Randall Farm Road as a detour while Woodland Brook Drive is closed.Β
