Trace Adkins brings 'Songs and Stories' to CEPAC

Tickets for the May 17 concert go on sale today plus a roundup of what's coming up at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Trace Adkins is bringing his Songs and Stories Tour to in May and tickets go on sale today. Adkins will share music and tales from his life Thursday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. The inspiration for the tour came from Adkins 10th studio album “Proud To Be Here.” Tickets range in price from $39.75 to $75 plus fees. 

There’s plenty to entertain Smyrna and Vinings at CEPAC between now and the Songs and Stories Tour in May. Atlanta Ballet brings two performances to the stage this month. Twyla Tharp’s “The Princess and the Goblin” runs Feb. 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 8 p.m and Feb. 11, 12 and 18 and 19 at 2 p.m. Many of the stars of this ballet hail from Smyrna and Vinings. Tickets range in price from $20 to $120 plus fees. Be sure to .

Atlanta Ballet will also perform Snow White Feb. 16 at 11 a.m., Feb. 17 at 10 a.m., Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $10 or $56 plus fees.

The Atlanta Opera performs “The Golden Ticket,” an opera based the children’s classic “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl, March 3 at 8 p.m., March 6 at 7:30 p.m., March 9 at 8 p.m. and March 11 at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Back-to-back performers by beloved comedians are sure to bring a laugh to CEPAC. Comedian Jeanne Robertson will tickle funny bones March 16 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $32.50 plus fees. The following night Ralphie May, famous for his stint on “Last Comic Standing,” brings his Too Big To Ignore tour to Cobb Energy at 8 p.m. All seats to this show are $30.50 plus fees.

Atlanta Ballet’s performance “The Man in Black: An Evening of Three Works” is like seeing three ballets in one. The performance features three dances. “The Man in Black” is set to music by Johnny Cash and choreographed by James Kudelka. “First Flash” was choreographed by Jorma Elo and “Moment of Dis” by Juel Lane. See “The Man in Black” March 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. March 24 and 25 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

American Idol contestant Daughtry promotes his multi-platinum album “Break the Spell” with a stop at Cobb Energy Tuesday, March 27 at 8 p.m. Tickets are between $30 and $50 plus fees.

The Broadway musical “Young Frankenstein” is alive and heading to CEPAC March 29, 30 and 31 at 8 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinee performances March 31 and April 2. Tickets are $25 and $56 plus fees.
